Monday 14th August 2017
We warmly welcome back to our Parish, Fr Dariusz Dabek, who will be here from Monday 14th August until Monday 28th August whilst Fr Dan takes a well-earned break.
For those of you who have not met Fr Darius, here is his short but fascinating recent biography: -
Since 1998 he has been working in the Institute of the Philosophy of Nature and the Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Poland.
The theme of his PhD thesis was "Edward Arthur Milne's cosmology and its philosophical implications". The aim of this dissertation was to reconstruct cosmological and philosophical views of the English mathematician and astrophysicist, Edward Arthur Milne (1896-1950).
He is engaged in the research of methodology and philosophy of natural sciences. His main areas of interest are the axiological problems related to a choice of scientific theories. His research is focused on the different aspects of the epistemic and non-epistemic values of theories, especially in the field of cosmology in the first part of the 20th century.
