Farewell to Michael Barwick
Sunday 20th January 2019
It's time to say good-bye to Michael Barwick as he finishes his placement at The Most Holy Redeemer.
As he said this weekend....
It has been an absolute joy being here for the last few months and every single one of you has made me feel so welcome. When I arrived I was made to feel part of the parish family immediately. I have had a chance to journey with you all and in a particular way I have loved meeting you before and after Mass. In these moments, talking and listening to you has been a real privilege and a joy - I will treasure this always.
Michael will shortly go on pilgrimage to the Holy Land for two weeks before returning to St.Mary's College, Oscott for his final two years of study before priesthood. If all goes well, he will become a deacon in 2020 and will be ordained a priest in 2021.
We thank Michael for his work in our Parish, wish him all the best for the future, and hope that he returns to our Parish frequently!
