Prayer Groups
Padre Pio
Formed in 1982, we are a prayer group within the parish which has a great devotion to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays at 10 am in the lounge of the Pastoral Centre to pray in thanksgiving and to petition for the needs of the Group, our parish and the wider world. We are particularly conscious of the power of prayer for the sick and holy souls.
Since 1988 we have held, at Abbotswick, Diocesan House of Prayer, a Day of Devotion to the Divine Mercy on Divine Mercy Sunday. This attracts people from all over the Diocese.
Mum's Prayer Group
Mothers meet to share their prayers and reflect on the scriptures.
This is a gentle informal group.
We usually meet during the day and occasionally in the evenings. There are no regular slots as it changes weekly.
Sessions are usually held around each others houses.
